Research

I began in research in 1985 working on a study for the future of textiles in the US fashion industry and was hired by the trustees of Boston University to create a competitive analysis of the management education market in Europe, where it was competing. Essentially I was looking at the “future of..” different industries and that became my focus as a consultant for serving global clients like 3M, Du Pont, General Electric, Dow, Exxon, Bayer and later General Motors Europe and then branching into knowledge management, competitive intelligence, human genomics and leadership coaching. Today, I am examining the inflection of creativity upon decision making especially in leadership coaching.

Supervised by organizational behavior specialist Dr. Abraham R. Shani, author of Behavior in Organizations (2020) and Professor of Organization Behavior and Development and, Associate Dean of Faculty and Research at California Polytechnic State University, I co-published on parallel learning structures for technology transfer which featured in Parallel Learning Structures: Increasing Innovation in Bureaucracies (Addison-Wesley Series on Organization Development). I am currently a Research Scholar on the Futures of Coaching at Columbia University in New York.
