Dr. Les Joynes

About Les: Dr. Les Joynes is a Leadership Coach at Columbia Business School, Academic Coach at University of Melbourne, Australia, Entrepreneurship Coach at the New School in New York and Gold Award Mentor at University of London.

As a management consultant, Les has served global clients including Du Pont, 3M, GE, Dow, Braun, and Bayer in expanding their operations in the Americas, Asia and EU. Les served as New York Chair for the Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals.

A native of Santa Barbara California, Les completed his MSc. specializing in international management at ‍Boston ‍University ‍and ‍the ‍Vrije ‍Universiteit ‍Brussels ‍Faculty ‍of ‍Economic ‍and ‍Social ‍Sciences; MBA from California ‍State ‍University; MA from University ‍of ‍London. He was Japan Ministry of Culture and Education Scholar in Tokyo and completed his PhD at Leeds Metropolitan University in the UK and Post-doctorate at University of Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Serving on international boards, committees and teams in the US, UK and Australia Les is active in leading Zoom and in-person events in Austria, Italy, Greece, Portugal, Croatia, France, and Brazil.

Active in US Public Diplomacy projects

Les supports US - overseas initiatives in Singapore, South Korea, China, Mongolia, and is ‍2022 recipient ‍of ‍the ‍Fulbright-Nehru ‍Academic ‍and ‍Professional ‍Excellence ‍Award for India.

He is trained in French, German, Italian, Japanese, and was Taiwan Ministry of Education Huayu Scholar in Mandarin Chinese. He completed his professional coach training at New York University.
